Melissa J. Rhee


Ms. Rhee is a partner in the firm. She began her law career as a Korean legal assistant to a sole practitioner. During law school, she served as a certified legal intern with the San Diego District Attorney’s office. She has experience in a wide range of practices, including construction, business, real estate, employment and contract related matters. She has represented clients in both Federal and California State cases in non-complex and complex designated cases. She has participated in arbitrations, trials and appeals. 

Ms. Rhee was born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in South Korea, Argentina and in various states. Ms. Rhee graduated from the University of California, Irvine, in December 2002, where she received her B.A. in Criminology, Law & Society, B.A. in Psychology & Social Behaviors and a minor in Educational Studies. She received her J.D. in December 2006 from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. 

She is licensed to practice before all the California State Courts, the United States District Court of California for the Central, Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts, and the Supreme Court of the United States. She is a CLEO (Counsel of Legal Education Opportunity) Alumni and a member of the Korean American Bar Association.
